With their appointment of Electronic
Resources as their Irish distributor, Cherry
Electrical Products has opened new market opportunities for
Cherry products across the Irish Sea. The franchised distributor,
Based in Dublin with sister enterprise Option Electronics, Electronic
Resources is a leading distributor and service provider to major
OEMs and EMS companies.
Commenting, Michael Groom, General
Manager of Cherry Electrical Products, says “Our partnership
with Electronic Resources allows us, for the first time, a dedicated
Irish distributor. Until now we have achieved minor successes in
the Irish market thanks to direct sales, but this development enables
us to penetrate our target markets in the region much more effectively.”
Cherry's switches and keyboards
will form a new product line for Electronic Resources, who traditionally
specialise in line filters, heat sinks, connectors, cable assemblies,
optoelectronics and semiconductors. “Ireland benefits from

the supply of Cherry switches, sensors and automotive modules,”
says Denis Guinee, General Manager of Electronic Resources.
