Acquisition re-launches Clipper enclosures

The small enclosures business of West Hyde Enclosures, which has ceased trading, has been acquired by Hammond Electronics and manufacture has resumed from the original West Hyde tooling, ensuring continuity of supply for customers who had previously specified the enclosures.

An entry-level, flameproof ABS enclosure, the Clipper family is intended for housing small PCBs in hand-held applications. Their ergonomic styling affords a comfortable grip. The are available in four sizes, ranging from 40 x 60 x 19mm to 125 x 70 x 22mm, in either black or grey, and the three largest sizes are fitted with a battery compartment suitable for either a single 9V PP3 or two AA batteries. To facilitate the simple application of labels, silk screening and membrane keyboards, and machining for switches and indicators, the top surface of each enclosure is completely flat.
