Stryke International is a new company formed to deliver low cost components to the UK market, sourced from the Far East.

Stryke draws on over 30 years of procurement experience gained at Walters Microsystems, the EMS company within the Walters Group.

Explains MD, Chris Walters: "At Stryke, our goal is to continuously drive down costs while retaining quality through innovative manufacturing initiatives and by constant evaluation of our materials costs. Many companies see the benefits of sourcing through the Far East, but are also aware of the difficulties and complexities that accompany such activities. We have been particularly successful in sourcing low cost, high quality components from the Far East, and we have now decided to offer that service to the whole of the UK industry."

As an example, Walters explains that the company saved 40% of the cost of a special connector used on its own Golfplus GPS-driven Course Management System, simply by sourcing the item through its Far East connections. The result is that Golfplus is now competitive in the price-dominated USA and Asian markets. Stryke International has been further strengthened by Paul Adams who has joined as sales manager.
