Intellect,
the trade association for the UKs hi-tech industry, has welcomed
the announcement by the Department for Trade and Industry of funding
for the creation of an Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN).
Commenting, Charles Ward, Chief Operating Officer at Intellect said
"If the UK electronics industry is to be able to compete successfully
against its global competitors, then it is critical to have a strong
network to stimulate innovation and to facilitate the exchange of
knowledge throughout the electronics community and beyond. This
