Constant current from 1.0 to 100V?

ATC Semitec’s CRD range of current-regulating diodes delivers constant current output over a wide input voltage range of up to 100V. Since a single CRD effectively replaces several of the components normally required in a conventional constant current network, multiple input circuits may be created, with the reduced component count releasing valuable board space.

Offering current values from 0.01mA up to 15A, the CRDs afford protection, stability and improved performance in circuits driving LEDs, generating waveforms, and biasing amplifiers. They may also be used as an excellent voltage reference in conjunction with a standard Zener diode.

CRDs may be supplied in both an axial DO-35 package and mini-MELF format, and Pb free versions are also available. Their glass encapsulation ensures long-term stability, and operating use up to 150°C. Higher voltage or current ratings may be achieved by connecting them in series or parallel.
