Putting into effect their new ‘green’
policy, CML Innovative Technologies
have moved production of their range of LED light engines (LEDules)
from Costa Rica to their plants in Germany and the Czech Republic.
The consequent reduction in air miles significantly reduces their
carbon footprint; and with the reduction, also, of lead times the
move towards low-power, long-life LED technology is made faster
and simpler for European customers. Most importantly, perhaps, the
LEDules provice ideal replacements for the inefficient incandescent
lamps, which could become banned in many European countries.

The new 'green' LEDules are available in a variety of colours,
including cool and warm white, and power ratings of 1, 3, 4, 8,
9 and 14W with consistent unit-to-unit colour temperature. A new
RGB version, which feature red, green and blue LEDs, enabling subtle
colour changing for 'mood' lighting applications, has also been
added to the range. LEDules can include all the elements required
to implement an LED-based lighting product (LED, lens, driver circuitry,
heatsinking and packaging with several different fitting options),
such that designers only need to connect the devices to the appropriate
power source.
Targeting a variety of general lighting applications, this range
of 'green' LEDules addresses key levels of SSL integration, and
is specifically aimed at OEM's using lighting in their designs.
Available as spot-lights or for general illumination, such as in
architecture, landscape or task lighting, the LEDule family from
CML-IT is ideal for customisation towards specific customer and
application requirements.
