Capacitor Arrays with soft termination resist cracking Now available from are capacitor arrays featuring FLEXITERM® soft termination, which enables them to withstand more than twice the PCB deflection that would cause cracking in standard MLC devices. The addition of a layer of epoxy silver in the termination means that the array is able to absorb mechanical stress, and this helps protect the internal structure against short circuit failure.

FLEXITERM arrays are offered in two- or four-element packages in case sizes from 0405 to 0612, all of which are RoHS compliant. They can be used in a variety of applications ranging from high-volume commercial decoupling, such as mobile communications, to higher temperature automotive systems, typically in engine management, control cirduitry and dashboard electronics.
