Press-fit bulkhead adaptor reduces assembly time A press-fit version of a BNC female/female adaptor developed by connector manufacturer , enables an 80% reduction in assembly time, and can easily be removed or replaced using a simple tool. Non-press-fit adaptors are conventionally terminated in patch panels using a nut and lock washer, which is very time consuming to fit. However, this new adaptor from GTK fits rapidly and securely in a traditional Dshaped 13mm x 12.1mm hole in a 3mm panel, with virtually no movement. The adaptor incorporates a body of fullyturned, nickel-plated brass containing a contact of gold plated brass. It has a polycarbonate press-fit spring, and a Teflon insulator to ensure the highest quality performance. Primarily for use in the broadcasting industry, the adapator is available in 50W and 75W versions, and samples are available now on request. |
