A new Cannon PHD line of optical
interconnects from ITT delivers high
performance, high density, and ease of
maintenance. In addition, it is flexible and
scaleable.
ITT’s Cannon PHD optical interconnects |
Based on an industry-standard 1.25mm
ceramic ferrule, the Cannon PHD system
enables a higher density optical system
than traditional SC, ST or MC ferrule technologies. |
Furthermore, the optical core connector
bodies and structured cable systems
have been engineered to support mission critical
applications within data-carrying
networks. The design is highly robust and
minimizes the potential for operator error,
further simplifying field service and repair.
The Cannon PHD system guarantees the
industry's highest and most stable
performance for multi-channel interconnects
and delivers reduced insertion loss, lower
interchannel variance, and higher return
loss. The product's end face is GR-326
compliant.
Specific systems may be identified for panel
mounting, for use on backplanes and rack
and panel designs, for interface with the
standard MIL-C-38999 footprint, or for
applications requiring exposure to outdoor
and factory environments where commodity
fiber optic products prove unsuitable.
Focused market sectors include telecommunications,
automotive systems,
commercial aircraft, data-communications,
industrial applications, medical products,
and military applications.
