Connector solutions demanded
by video, broadcast, and recording studios must provide high reliability,
exceptional performance, and durability. The Mini-XL connector from
leading hi-rel connector company ITT Interconnect
Solutions, meets those demands, yet is 40% smaller than the
industry’s standard XLR connector. It is now supported by a
free Application Note.
A one-touch connect/disconnect, circular connector, the Mini-XL
stems from recent advances in digital audio technology, and is designed
to withstand extreme field use. It accommodates both cable and panel
mount requirements, features 3- to 6-pin contact arrangements, has
a resilient socket insulator that minimizes vibration and electrical
noise, and is ideally suited for high-density applications. Other
key features include a disconnect latch lock, gold plated contacts,
and a rear housing (cap) available in plastic or metal for male
and female plugs. Mini-XL connectors are RoHS compliant and embody
a low-reflectivity satin finish.
