Thumbscrew option simplifies Bi-Lobe connector assembly

Leading US manufacturer of miniature high rel-connectors, Omnetics Connector Corporation, has announced that its brand-leading, nano-miniature, 0.635mm pitch Bi-Lobe connector family is now optionally available with a thumb-screws attach and release mechanism, obviating the need for tools.

Standard Bi-lobe connectors are available in 9-65 way, dual- or single-row configurations, housed in a robust metal shell and polarized to prevent mis-mating. Omnetics’ Bi-Lobe connectors ensure signal integrity even in conditions where high shock and vibration are experienced, satisfying Mil-Std-32139 which specifies that for 100G shock and 20G vibration discontinuities must be less than 10 nanoseconds.
