The TMC series is currently
available in 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206 or K, L, R and A case sizes
with capacitance values from 0.47µF to 68µF and a rated
voltage range of 3V to 20V.
This series is approved to
HRC5000, the AVX specification for implantable grade Tantalum Capacitors.
The high volumetric efficiency of this construction allows for significant
downsizing from the traditional leadframe style capacitors whilst
maintaining performance and reliability, which is key in today's
applications eg pacemakers and defibrillators. These devices have
low leakage current specifications supporting extended battery life
operation.
The TMC series meets Weibull grade level B as a minimum and each
manufacturing lot is subjected to conformance testing prior to release.
The series is approved over the temperature range -55ºC to
+125ºC and is supplied in tape & reel or waffle pack and
is available with either Tin or Gold termination finish.
