Subminiature switch is designed for automatic assembly

The PMC-1401S subminiature reed switch, an addition to the range of switches supplied by Alan Butcher Components, is specially designed for use in automatic assembly lines.

Recently introduced by Proximity Instruments Controls of Germany, the switch is claimed to have more than 1 billion reliable operations at dry or low level circuits. This level of resilience, added to the fact that it needs no supply voltage and has zero power consumption, makes the the PMC- 1401S an ideal choice as a switching component for all battery powered devices, flip phones or notebook PCs, for example, claim the manufacturers.

The switch is supplied ready packed in standard Tape & Reel packaging. This allows it to be readily applied to fully automatic manufacturing lines.

This, and attractive pricing, make the PMC-1401S an economical alternative to Hall IC-switches in portable and battery powered devices.
