Arcolectric has announced the launch
of their comprehensive new range of snap action micro switches,
available in two industry standard packages, V3 and V4.
These two new expanded ranges offer greater choice with more lever
options and operating pressures to extend their potential applications.
Tested to at least one million operations and manufactured from
UL94V-0 rated flame retardant materials, these switches can be used
in the most demanding of applications.
The V4 industry standard package is rated up to 5A, 250Vac, and
is available in two versions having operating temperatures of 85°C
(T85) and 125°C (T125).

Standard switching function
is changeover (momentary 1 side), and the switch is available without
lever (with standard actuator or a domed actuator), or with plain
lever, roller lever or 'snake' lever, with operating forces of 80,
160 and 230 grams. Further configurations are available for large
volume usage. Terminations include 2.8mm tabs, solder tabs, and
straight or angled PCB spills.
In the case of the V3 package, this is also rated up to 16A, 250Vac,
and has 85°C or 125°C operating temperatures. It offers
three switching functions - changeover (momentary 1 side), normally
open (momentary on) or normally closed (momentary off), and is available
without lever, with plain lever, roller lever or with 'snake' lever,
with operating forces of 50, 100, 200 & 350 grams.
Further configurations are available on request. Extensive terminal
styles include solder tabs, 4.8mm & 6.3mm tabs and RAST 5 tabs
(6.3mm tabs on 5mm pitch).
The option of gold plated contacts, additional lever shapes, and
alternative terminal types are available for both versions, which
are VDE and UL approved and fully RoHS compliant.
