Higher accuracy and versatility from ‘New Generation’ microhmmeter

The re-designed DO5000 microhmmeter, from Cropico, provides all the features required of an ohmmeter in one, flexible instrument.

With an exceptional level of measurement flexibility, the DO5000 offers accuracy as high as 0.03% over a wide range from 0.1mW to 30,000W, and is available with 50 measurements per second operating mode, for applications in which speed is important.

Programmable measuring current, from 10% to 100% in 100 steps, with 10A maximum, ensures that the instrument is suited to virtually any application, typically in the laboratory, production line, electrical equipment, cables, switches, relays and connection resistance. For the measurement of inductive circuits, such as motor or generator windings, its integral measurement algorithms ensure steady and stable readings.

Remote control facilities enable the DO5000 to be integrated into an automated testing system, via RS232/IEEE-488 or PLC interfaces.

Other salient features include open-circuit lead warning, automatic average, the display of measurement with forward and full-accuracy reverse current, automatic temperature compensation, programmable Hi/Lo limits, and data logging with statistical analysis. A four-terminal Kelvin/Thomson measurement principle eliminates errors due to lead resistance.
