Common mode choke coil chip is world’s smallest

The world's leading passive and connector specialist, TTI Europe, is supplying the world's smallest chip common mode choke coil for high-speed differential transmission line anti-noise suppression.

At only 0.85 x 0.65 x 0.45mm, Murata’s the DLPONS Series chip choke coil is smaller, thinner and lighter than its predecessor, greatly contributing to high component density in compact mobile equipment. A coupling coefficient of over 0.98 has been realised to suppress differential mode impedance for the signal passage band, which would otherwise cause degradation in signal waveforms, to a low level. In addition, the alignment against the characteristic impedance of the transmission line suppresses input signal reflection, enabling the removal of common mode noise, alone, without affecting high-speed signal waveforms. To assist selection for specific applications, versions having typical common mode impedance values of 67, 90 or 120O, at 100MHz, are available.

The DLPONS series is fully compliant with the forthcoming RoHS directive, and is suitable for use

The world’s smallest chip choke coil!

in applications such as noise suppression at high-speed differential transmission lines (USB2.0, IEEE1394, LVDS, DVI, HDMI, etc.) for compact mobile equipment including digital still cameras, video cameras, cellular phones, PDAs and laptop PCs.
