The WaveAce range of oscilloscopes
from Le Croy provides high performance
at affordable prices from 60MHz bandwidth. The range was designed
to be small and portable with a fast boot time. It has a simple
user interface, good maths and measurement tools and good connectivity,
including RS232 and USB ports for connection to PC.
The range features a colour display
in all models, long memory:18 kpts/ch, and has an attractive design
taken from Le Croy's newest high bandwidth scopes. Its small compact
form factor - 5lb weight and 5 inches deep – is allied to a simple
user interface with intuitive front panel. Mathematical functions
include add, subtract, multiply, divide, FFT and 32 automated measurement
parameters.
Six models cover bandwidths from
60 to 300 MHz, the top end WaveAce 232 being the only 300MHz oscilloscope
model in this class. Prices range from £620 to £1,827.
All models have front and back panel USBs, and EasyScope software
can be used to save waveforms, setups and screenshots to a PC.

WaveAce offers a wide range of facilities to simplify the design,
debug and troubleshooting process, including pass/fail mask testing.
A waveform sequence recorder can record up to 2500 consecutive acquisitions
for later playback, and up to 20 waveforms and 20 setups can be
stored in internal memory. There are multiple acquisition modes:
real time, equivalent time, peak detect, roll and averaging. Low
pass, high pass, band pass or band stop digital filters can be applied
to each channel.
