Pressure distribution between contacting surfaces revealed mylar film

A unique film developed by New Jersey based Sensor Products, reveals pressure distribution, and its magnitude, between any two contacting or impacting surfaces.

Pressurex is a thin, mylar-based film which is placed at the actual contact surface, where it instantaneously and permanently captures the pressure profile. Similar in philosophy to litmus paper, this pressure profile is displayed by graduations in the colour across the surface of the film, where low pressures are denoted by shades of blue, graduating to red at higher pressures, which are directly proportional to the amount of force applied. Pressurex is therefore ideally suited as an aid to QC/AQ in both R & D and manufacture, assisting typically in the assessment of heat sealing and lamination processes; bolted or gasketed interfaces; heat sinks, and a variety of other pressure-sensitive applications. Free Samples of Pressurex may be obtained by contacting -
